Is it an easy diy thing to do? Just common handtoolw right? Nothing extreme

4b11slayer Jul 27, 2017 09:50 AM

Yea just hand tools.
It should be a 15/16 or 24mm wrench to drain. I could be wrong.

You can drain it and measure how many quarts you drianed so you can fill it back in with exactly what you removed.

Or start with 2.5 quarts, start engine, let it get to operating temp, switch the transmission through the available gears. I.e go from park to reverse.drive.neutral.drive.shiftronic.

While in the different gear positions leave shifter for 5 seconds in each position.

Shift back to park and check level. If level is low add fluid accordingly and repeat the Gear position preocedure.

Note: If adding fluid and not moving through the gears you will get a HIGH inaccurate level.

BG Synchroshift II works fantastic in 04-06 Ralliarts. Amsoil/Redline is great as well.

this is true...

however if you choose to use aftermarket oil, don't use amsoil

Glad you still support Redline! I made my purchase based of a few older threads I read which you and a couple others recommended it.

Got a chance to do the change on Sunday and overall I can say there was defiantly a positive change! I still have a few issues that I was hoping would go away w/ fluid change but they stuck around unfortunately... However I would still recommend doing the job and using that particular fluid.
