After centering the adhesive stencil, I masked off and left these letters exposed then applied four coats of a darker red to better match the car:




...Then, I exposed these symbols and tried to apply a fade to the end by shooting steady to the left of the stencil, then sweeping quickly to the right. I applied four coats, repeating this technique each time:




Using a blow dryer to expedite my impatience in the moisture, I unmasked and remasked for the bottom letters and applied four coats of gloss black:




Shooting photos from the front didn't do justice (lighting issues) so I played with different angles and came up with these which, appear to, show the proper effects. I hope Michael and Brent approve:
