how would I.measure the offset. I'm a complete noobie to cars.

Im not sure. Im wondwring if the rear has lowering springs on it. But i do not.know how.to be sure.

If you know the brand and type of wheels we could look up the offset. For example Enkei RPF1.

Very, very sticky. I've only been able to break them loose under extreme conditions, whereas I've been able to chirp different Kumhos (ASTs and 4Xes) going into third under hard acceleration. They're also just about dead silent at highway speeds. They're lighter than most other tires in this size and my gas mileage has jumped by about 0.5mi/gal. In the wet, there isn't any loss of traction once you're rolling. One word of warning: these will show you if you have suspension problems. I'm now on the lookout for some Swift Sport springs because of these.

Can't beat them for $84 apiece from TireRack.

Does anyone know difference between the factory spring rates and the progress springs? If it isn't much different I think I will just install the front springs so it keeps the rear a little lower.

There isn't much info on winter tires here, so here's my $0.02 for those that have winter as their longest season.

I got my car road worthy just in time for winter so I put winter tires on immediately. I went with Michelin X-Ice 3 and I'm not really impressed. I have a set of Continentals on my other car but the best winter tire I ever owned was the Nookian Hakkepelitta 7s that were studded. They were on my jetta and had the best grip.

I live in the prairies so we see cold, snow, colder ice, and then really cold. The micheline are decent but I wouldn't recommend to anyone who enjoys using the skinny pedal on the right. If you don't have as harsh a winter or not as much ice they may be fine, but otherwise I'd look into the Nookian
