The Stock Goodyears SUCK!
OK Well I guess i can't blame this entirely on the tires. This thread could also be called "Why I can't have nice things!" Here is the story, my buddy, corey, and i were headed to the golf course to knock some ***** around in. Im flying down the highway at about 55 or 60, not too fast but quick, as corey says "hey there is the turn." Like a spaz i try to make the turn. I Might have, too, if there hadnt have gravel all over the road for some m*%&#^f^#**n' reason.
Long story short i have the @$$ end of my 1 month of pride and joy (first new car) wedged in a ditch in Brookland, AR (avoid that $h!t town if u can). Thanks to some helpful rednecks (not derogatory, just a fact, theyd admit it themselves too) we got the damn thing up and out with any damage to the front. The rear is another story. No major damage but it still makes me sad when I think about it.

I have an 04 with bridgestones and they are not much better, I am going to put winter tires on the stock rims this winter and then buy some nice wheels for the spring with sticky rubber. To let you know Mitsu switched from bridgestones to Goodyears to save 15 a tire. They could have made a deal with yokohama or some smaller company, probably saved more and we would have gotten a better tire.

at least there is no MAJOR damage. I mean all that is really messes up it the lip. It could have been a lot worse!
When I was 16 I did about the same thing but the road was all gravel and I did at least 2 360's, barely missed the electrical pole and ended up in the middle of a muddy field. I feel your pain.

I admit that my judgement was far from sane but I just know that if i hadnt hit that gravel and had better rubber, i might have been able to stay on the road. Maybe its wishful think. Just for the record i had hit the brakes before turning so i wasnt going 55 when i hit the turn...
