so, for all of you guys who are the real brains behind this stiff, my question was is the ebd disabled with the abs fuse pulled. one guy said he though the ebd worked off the abs sensors, but that doesn't give me a def answer. I would start my own thread, but it doesn't seem all that necessary in this case.

the easy way would be to take the fuse out...if the unit is separate from the brake master cylinder it can be done..some cars is all in one ....some are 2 units, the lines go from pump to abs unit to brakes....

Bringing back an old thread. So, it's the first real day of driving my 2004 Ralliart project car. I noticed as soon as I start rolling the ABS light kicks on and the pedal does the vibrating motion even under very light braking. I hate this. What causes ABS issues in this car? I rebuilt this car from the ground up, and the ABS teeth on the hub looked ok. Could be a sensor? I've driven all my life without ABS, and drive in snow all winter...so not having ABS in snow does not worry me in the slightest. Pulling the ABS fuse will disable the whole system correct?

Since I've never driven through a winter yet, I plan to spend time in some empty parking lots this winter mucking around to figure things out. I would think ABS is fine in the winter as it prevents lock.
