tire and wheel combo, question about tire size
so its just about spring and its time for me to buy new wheels and tires.
im planning on going with this for wheels:
http://1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheel...2D+Hyper+Black
and then for tires:
http://1010tires.com/tire.asp?tirebr...el=Exclaim+UHP
now what my question is, since they dont make a 205/45/17 with that model of tire, which would i be better to go with, 205/40/17 or 215/40/17? i know our car has clearance problems with wider tires but since im also lowering the profile of the tire do you think i can get away with the meatier tires? also its at stock ride hight.
also both of these tires are still smaller in terms of diamiter then the factory one so i know i will be using a bit more gas.

Would a 215/45/17 or 215/40/17 have clearance problems with stock ride height? What about lowered? I say go for the 215 but I dunno about if you plan to lower it later.

alright thanks for confirming that the 215/40's will work without problems. i also dont plan on lowering any time soon. im just trying to upgrade before summer time since the rs-a's suck. im gonna try trading them in with 16" mazda wheels to a tire shop when i buy the combo above
