dunlop direzza sport z1 star spec...my friend has them on his Talon TSi, and his first time at the track with those on, he shredded his input shaft before the tires slipped...and i've been in his car while lapping and he was cornering at 90+mph and they didn't make a sound, he broke them loose on a hair pin, but man those tires are sticky...Nitto NT01's are supposed to be pretty good too...traction has a lot to do with your foot as well, ease onto the throttle, and feather when they break loose, if you floor it and go WOT through every gear you'll never stop spinning with that kind of power in FWD...i know AWD Talons with around that much power and they get wheel spin through 1st and 2nd with a 4k launch...

to be honest i never went to track, i usually race in the streets ..

about traction and foot, i usually race from a roll..starting from 3rd gear..once i hit the pedal it

hits redline in a sec..which is really annoying..

and i never launched the car..

now i got confused earlier i was thinking of nt01 because its cheaper but they told me its crab!!!

something else the 235\40-18 will fit or not..???

I have a question everyone, will a 215/50/16 fit on our car? Stock height, and how about if it's lowered? Will I need spacers? Rolling? Pulling? It's a 16x8 +38 offset rim.

weird...well street racing is super illegal here, as in, you lose your car, your license, and up to a $10,000 fine...so yeah, i keep it at the track...if you're having traction issues from a 3rd gear roll then you need better tires. That's a lot of power for a small FWD car, and there's not really anything you can do about it other than easing the throttle.

also i have only heard NT01's were good, i've never personally had any experience with them...the Dunlop's i can vouch for...

215 isn't much wider than 205, i'm guessing it would fit...the offset i'm not sure...but it depends on how low you go..

215 will be good. Flip had 17x8 +35 I believe and need a spacer in the rear, rolled and a slight (very small) pull. So you might need a 3mm-5mm spacer in the rear. I have a set of 17x7.5 +45 rims but using hubcentric 20mm spacers I'll have it at 17x7.5 +25mm. How far the rim comes out and it measures the same distance with how Flips came out. So I think you'll be fine with the tires on that size rim. go to 1010tires.com They show how many mm the new set up will stick out from the current one. Also shows how much space you loss or gain on the inside.

Keep in mind with 3-5mm spacers or with any spacers, sometimes you'll need extended studs. You can find some pretty cheap spacers on eBay.

you will need spacers in the back because the rim i think would hit the lower control arm my 7 inch wides only just clear it but i guess it depend on the offset of the rim as well best way to find out is trial fit, spacer and pulling the rear quarters shouldnt be to hard if needed maybe even rolling would be ebtter

20-25mm..besides the 275........great job but could be much nicer..anyway it's promising..

Okay, so I trail fitted my 215/50/16 tires on the back and it hits the lower control arm enough that I cannot tighten my wheel on it. So do you think a 5mm spacer will fix that? Or should I go bigger and maybe get an 8 or 10?

Buy them from Next Level Motoring instead of Ebay and save yourself some money. For the price of the ones on Ebay, you can get the wheels and the rings from NL motoring. That's where I got Mine from. Great place.
