Well I went to test drive one again the other day. The guy was pretty cool and we had an interesting conversation. He told me that they will actually lose money on cars to meet the quota that Mits sets for the month. Once they meet the quota Mits will reimburse them 5k for every Mits they sold. So my chances are pretty good for getting an RA for 23-24k. Interesting information.

Just out of curiosity, are you against the idea of an Evo X? You can get them new for $27k right now, so I was just wondering.

Thats for the GSR im assuming. Keep in mind to most people shopping for the Ralliart, the EVO they would want would be the MR, and there is no one around selling them for that cheap. This is at least from the people ive spoken to, I could be wrong.

Not all people who get a Ralliart are trying to get an EVO. Alot of people want this car as a DD and the SST is perfect for that. SO the closest EVO to get would be the more expensive MR.

Plus insurance costs ALOT more on an Evo.

Sure, I understand all those concerns, I was just trying to get a feel for the OP's reasoning. If cost was the main concern, I wasn't sure if he was aware of the costs coming down so much on the GSR's. The MR's are coming down too, but still in the 31K+ range. I certainly didn't mean it to sound like everyone looking for a RA only did so because they couldn't afford an EVO. I've been considering a RA for the GF as a DD so she can get into auto-x because I like the platform so much.

Yeah I really like the evo but I'm trying to keep the car payments down until I get out of college. I have about 2 years left. Also I travel 45 miles to work so i want to try and keep mpg up as much as possible. The evo is definitely in my future..or the GTR if I can get my salary up there in the next few years =D

I think my biggest hurdle will be them taking my GTS for what I owe on it. I still owe 15,500. It has the sound and sun package and only 15k miles so I think they could probably flip it for profit.
