Changing to touchscreen Nav system "Multi Communication System"

I am planning to upgrade my stock radio for the touchscreen Nav System"Multi Communication System". Has anyone here already done it? If so, what did it require to work correctly?

I was searching around and found that the system does alot more things than just play music, I even read somewhere that it controls whipper speeds. Since my current system does not do any of this I was wondering if a change was possible. I am watching some current auctions on ebay but would like to make sure before wasting +$1,000.

Anyone?

yes, when i had the lancer gts i did upgrade the ugly looking radio to the mitsubishi communication navi unit. on my 08 lancer i could see when i needed to change the oil by pressing maintenance option, when i needed to rotate tires etc.. also it comes with a 30 or 40 gb hard-drive so you can record your music onto the drive, ***it will not record mp3's but it will play them. Plays dvd's as well. you can also view a graph of temperature change. your vehicle positioning. also a graph of your fuel consumption as well as your cars MPH for the last 5 hours or segments. it also come with bluetooth.. SOme phones may allow you to read text messages on screen some dont. you can dial a number by pressing the dial on the touch screen. the navigation is really good, i would choose that one over tom tom or anything else just because its clear and it shows you ETA or miles left to destination. and yes IF your lancer came equipped with the rain sensing wipers and what not you can control it from the unit as well as how long you need the inside lights to stay on or how many times you can press the lock button on your key to lock it or unlock it.. I would say get it its worth the money.. oh i had it running with my 2 12" jl audio w1v2 subs and i won first place so the sound quality is great as well * just make sure you put a amp on the mids and highs. ;-)

just plug and play no need for any wire cutting or ecu reprogramming.. just make sure you get the navi antenna and the harnesses that are plugged into the navi unit..

I don't care about the navi function, I know where I'm going better then those stupid things send you on a wild goose chase. But I belive you can use the screen for guage functions like the electronic guage display on the GTR among others. My friend w/ 04'WRX uses some software w/ nav screen to display boost/oil psi/ water temp & a few other guages & does'nt look all ricer on the dash.
