4 gallons of 89 octane!!
My gas light came on while on the freeway, so I though I ride it for another 15 miles, I pulled in to the only gas station, 50 miles from my house, and they only had 87 octane and 89 octane, I was forced to put 4 galons of 89 octane in my ralliart.. I hope nothing happened.. seemed to drive fine, I didnt boost or tried not too. I got to the gas station next to my house and filled with 93 octane
was anyone forced to put 89 or 87 in their ralliart yet?

Situations like these makes me think about carrying octane booster for emergencies..
sell your car buy a civic, if you can't afford to buy 91.. shouldnt have bought a ralliart

Forced.. Nope. But a couple months ago asked my gf to pump gas while I go get snacks. I come out and all I say to her is stop. She totally disregarded the note of "premium fuel only" on the fuel door. I think she cried for like an hour cause she "broke" my car. Haha

stop being a douche , hmm $4.59/gallon or $3.90/gallon. My car runs either way so why pay more? if you are so filthy rich and can afford 91 why didnt you get an evo smart guy?

it's an expense you consider when purchasing a car. unless you're not very bright, you knew before purchase that this car was made for premium fuel. it's an expense you calculate. like me knowing that insurance for an 18 year old and an evo is going to be expensive

Instead of running the car down to "E" again just fill it up with 93 now. I like to try to find the stations with individual pumps for the various octane ratings but those are getting hard to find. With the single nozzle pumps for all octane ratings, I doubt the first gallon or two coming out of the pump are 93 octane. You know the person before you filled up with 87 and that octane gas is still in the hose. So, that all goes into your tank before the 93. Also, running your car to "E" isn't good for the car. I always try to keep an eigth to a quarter of a tank in the car.
