I asked the stealership and they said the same, only the fans stay on. Turbo timers keep the motor running.

^sort of like that but usually turbo timer has auto shut that's why it's a turbo timer so we don't have to wait for a few minutes and shut it out in distance, especially when parking at malls.

turbo timer is a really great idea, i had it on my previous car, the reason for it is to cool the turbo off after beating on it. Most turbos are cooled by coolant and engine oil.. If you beat on the car and then come to a stop and just cut the car off, sometimes the fans may not kick in. Its always a good idea to keep the fluids moving there for next 30 seconds, you dont want anything to bake inside there..

as for the fan trick, this works even if you have driven lightly,, I came off an interstate today after my school temp outside 89F and i driven the past 15 miles at 65Mph straight up chillin, about 1/2 mile before my house i cut the ac on and left it on, doesnt matter one notch or full blast.. Came to a stop, and turned my car off, the fans stayed on... for next 3 min i believe..
