HID Issues (NOT Flickering ;)
I bought a skeezy used 35W Xenon HID install kit off a non-HID Evo for $70. (yeah, FAIL. I am smarter now
[sigh]).
Neither light works.
I already have the J-ROX harness (to cancel DRL). Works great.
I only hooked up the transformers to the JROX and then the bulbs to each transformer. I di not use the red harness nor the the black capacitor (DRL-cancel thingy) for the input (because i have the JROX already).
The bulbs look good (clear - no cloud or blackening)...
But how could i tell by looking at them (or can you) if they are good?
Is it reasonable to assume BOTH 'ba da bling!'[tm] transformers (look pretty cheap) are bad?
I hooked the stock bulbs back up to the JROX harness and they work again.
-thanks for any help!

No hum from either one.
Voltage is good into the ballast from the harness proven by it powers the stock Halogen bulbs just fine...
Hmmmh. This leads me to believe that is it.
But has anyone seen a 'blown' Xenon bulb? Is at all black inside - or can it fail and look 'fine'?
