OP, are you tuned? I'm personally running a 93 tune and I find that going on long distance, not all areas have 93 fuel. I usually bring some fuel booster just in case. Tried running 91 in an emergency on my tune and it was just horrible.

Last year I drove my 2009 Ralliart from Dallas, TX to Miami, FL and back. Had no problems whatsoever.

Make sure you let it cool down for a minute or 2 after you stop from sustained highway speeds.

I've not checked the RA, but my old MR2 Turbo used to glow visibly if you popped the cover on it at night after highway driving.

It may not hurt it, but having your oil sit on the turbo ( no matter what kind ) that hot won't do it any good, letting it run will keep the oil moving while the coolant brings the temp down to a reasonable level.

Other than that enjoy the ride, I've always found it comfortable for long trips.

My 2011 I bought in Wisconsin and drove it home to New Orleans, roughly a 1000 mile trip and loved it. My 2012 I bought in Gainesville, Fl and drove back to New Orleans, roughly 550 miles and happy driver again.

My commute to work is 62 miles one way with the majority of it being interstate driving and so far enjoying every bit of it and no problems.

my commute is about 85 miles one way, in fact just today did about 130 coz i forgot my gear for tonight hahah.. anyway to the point ive driven regulary in the heat about 35 degrees C (95ish farenheight in your terms) over this distance, never had the temp go much over halfway even with the air con on all the way..

RA is suprisingly fuel efficient as well, i get around 32-33 mpg which is also a win

That seems oddly high? Sure its not kilometers per gallon?

honestly get around 7.3L/100km driving soley on the fwy.. just used googles converter into msg.. today drove the 85 miles which was city-fwy-city and got 7.7L/100km comfortably (so thats around 30-31 mpg if googles right), mind you its a very flat trip and i wasnt smashing it... (except for at the lights )
Should have specified that the trip was hwy driving in earlier post, and that "the RA is suprisingly efficient on the hwy"*

my best is 27MPG per tank on a 5k - 6k mile road trip (Cali -> FL -> Cali). That was litterally, fill it up, hit the road, set the cruise for 72 - 73mph and go til it needed gas, rinse and repeat for 8hrs per day.

What kind of mpg improvement have you guys seen once you've done a tune??

I'm taking mine for its first road trip this weekend; Houston to New Orleans. Heading out to jazz fest! (Yeah, I'm old, whatever....!)
