So I spent the whole winter rebuilding my motor head etc due to stretched timing chain. Anyway. I'm buttoning up the car and have this one piece I didn't happen to catch in any of my pictures. Can't seem to find where it goes. Please help.

Looks like a motor mount shield If I had to guess, did you try flipping through some parts diagrams?

That is the heat shield that protects the exhaust side left (by the timing chain) sensor. It basically bolts up right above the water pump


You can see it in this picture for reference of how it fits.
