Sounds similar to the sound I got when shifting into 4th I got a CEL (P183D I might be misremembering that code) bent shift fork 2, and mitsu replaced the trans under warranty. Oh and that was a Ralliart but almost identical transmissions.
I say transmission since not much else should be spinning that fast and attempting to engage or rub (so it sounds) at idle. Also be 1000 percent sure your shop knows ALL about the DCT transmission there's only one or two shops that people recommend and there's a reason.
Just my two pennies.

anyone have any answers relating this? I am on stage 2 91 Octane map on my 2011 ralliart and it runs laggy with not a whole lot of boost. I cannot get past 17 PSI it seems. I ran 2 logs (attached). One with maintaining rpm through gears 2-4 and the other regular acceleration driving. Can anyone see anything wrong or concerning? Does not look like any boost leak I can see.
I am really debating to go with tactrix and GST basemaps but would really not want to deal with headache and tuning right now especially when I still need to stay on top of maintenance on this car. Thank you anyone for your help ahead of time for this.
