Thinking about Rota's to save $

I have heard mixed reviews about these, cheap quality, bending etc, along with some good reviews. Anyone here have opinions and or experiences?

thanks

they are fine. I have a set but i want to sell them, they are heavy as sh*t!! i would go with a different more lightweight but a reliable company. I high doubt rota will break on you though but crap happens

dont go rotas! stick with the advan's that you wanted! (in other thread) :p

I have rota P45r's and with over 500 hp they havent broken.....Hell, I like them, if you curb a rota your not out near as much money as if you were to curb an advan/volk...for daily drivers and weekend warriors that's important....now for a showcar, get the volks/advans, thats my opinion.

i was also thinking of getting some Rota's to save some $$$.

are there any other cheap wheels out there that are good quality, don't weigh a ton, and look good?

I run rotas and they're fine..

I have Rotas torques for daily driving they are fine. I dont race on them.

I kinda like those rota formulas, They even make a 18x8 in 45 and 48 offset.

I was going to save for oz ultraleggeras until this thread came along....

I have a set of D2's no issues at all.

GiLizILL Jan 31, 2009 05:29 PM

dont we need 18x7.5 not 18x8?

Trumpfan Jan 31, 2009 05:35 PM

You should be able to fit 18x8 with proper offset, some of the lancer gts guys have..... but don't quote me I'm no expert.

* the recomended fitment for the ultraleggeras I was looking at was 18x8 with 45 offset.

^if we canf it 18x8 with offset of +45 then that wouldbe good news and opens up laot more wheel choices. can anyone confirm this?

Look in the 2008 lancer es, gts etc tire wheel section on this forum.

It would fit btw. My Rotas weigh in at the same weight as the stock wheels but are 1.5 inches wider. I havent really got a chance to drive thousands of miles on them yet (since its winter) but I'm pretty sure they will serve my needs. I've driven ~ 200 miles on them and so far no problems. $850 shipped is what I paid.

I have Rota Formels on my WRX and they seem to do a nice job and look great. They are a bit heavy compared to the stock 02 WRX wheels but I like the look of them and the price can't be beat for a daily driven wheel.
