What's the generally accepted 0-60 time for a stock Ralliart?

I heard 5.5 from various places, but I'd still like to know. What's the 0-60 for a stock Ralliart?

Also, what's a cheap way to measure your 0-60 without going to a drag strip? I want to see how much difference lightened wheels and an aftermarket air filter make.

I dont know of any accurate cheap way to measure 0-60 other than being at the track. but im guessing that an after market filter and light weight wheels will make a difference of about .005 seconds lol

7.1 s is the official 0-100 km/h figure for the ralliart (sedan). Don't know if this is with sport mode on or off though. I bet it could go much faster if it had some kind of launch control, now acceleration is quite sluggish when starting from a standstill.

7.1 to 62mph (100km/h)? My 92 civic si hatch "officially" could do it in 7.5 according to the manufacturer and magazines.

The ralliart is no rocket but it's not that pig slow.

If by official 0-60 one means what the mags rate it, they range from 5.4 (Road and Track) to 5.8 (Edmunds) for the sedan...in optimal conditions using launch procedures no owner that actually wants to keep their car will ever do....which is pretty much true for all magazine 0-60 and 1/4 mile times (i.e. to get the 5.1s 0-60 on the 09 WRX, they did a clutch dump from 5000+ rpm)

where did you get that "official" number?

7.5 Seconds 0-62mph for the Lancer GTS with 168hp @ 6000 167 lb.-ft. @ 4100 FWD.

How is it that the Ralliart is .4 seconds faster?

Whoever posted that "official" time needs to be slapped, very hard.

Here's the "unofficial", Edmunds recorded 0-60 time:

Lancer Ralliart First Test, 6.6 seconds 0-60 no brake-boost launch

2009 Lancer Ralliart & 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX Test. Ralliart 0-60 @ 5.8s with good launch

And here's another "unofficial" time where MPGOmatic clocks around 5.4-5.5 seconds on a stock Ralliart:

I'm pretty sure its around the low 6's. Not in to the 5's without some work done to it.

C H Dec 24, 2009 05:38 PM

6.6s with no brake boost and 5.7s with brake boost

GTE28 Dec 24, 2009 10:33 PM

5.4seconds according to MOTORWEEK road test.

I believe the stock RA needs 3rd to hit "60" which is going to add a decent chunk of time. 0-60 is a useless measure of performance, regardless.

Does it matter that it needs to shift to 3rd? It takes all of 40 ms for the SST to do that.

0-60 is a benchmark of street performance. The 1/4 mile results are more prevalent, but it isn't overly wise to drag race a 1/4 mile on public streets in speeds of over 100 mph

Laza Dec 28, 2009 12:48 AM

Around 6 seconds sounds much better already. By official numbers I mean the number stated by the manufacturer, gathered from various sources (of which all state the same number):

Mitsubishi Finland:

http://www.mitsubishi.fi/TechnicalSp...&LangType=1035

Mitsubishi Germany:

http://www3.mitsubishi-motors.de//la...ktprospekt.pdf
(last page)

If that's not the official number then what is? (not a very strong selling point, though, if the car is really much more capable than that)

JHizzle Dec 28, 2009 01:07 AM

if you have an iphone theres a couple of apps that take your 1/4 mile, 0-60 all that good stuff

I own a 2011 Lancer GTS, 5 speed manual. 138 HP, completely stock and she does 0-60 in 4.3 sec. 1/4 mile in 5.1 sec @93 mph.
That's with power shifting. RPM @ 5.5k per shift after 1st gear.
