O'reilly/Kragen full synthetic
I usually use Mobil 1 full syn, but just got curious because O'reilly/Kragen has a 5qt full synthetic and Mobil 1 oil filter for like $17.99. Would anyone here consider using Oreilly brand oil.

I wouldn't. You pay for what you get.

Ha, well I'll tell you what happens because my mechanic dad thought this was an amazing deal and picked it up for me. I usually use Valvolin 5w-30 full synthetic and a mobil 1 filter (22 bucks +10 bucks).
He told me when I slightly protested that the guys there said mobil 1 supplies the O'Reilly oil...in my case it won't matter too much since my sudden change of job mean I drive my car like once a week maybe. yay for no commute!! If it blows up i'll let u know lol |
Ok well I decided to give it a try, since I have to work on my brakes anyways, well the oil smells good and is very clear and somewhat thin, oh well. On a side note mobil 1 is great, last oil change I put 4.7 quarts and drained out almost the same amount, although it was dark like coke. I'll be changing the oreilly oil early just to be safe.
