What's the indent in the center of the rear bumper

I originally thought that the indent in the rear bumper was perhapse a hitch connection point or some kind. But I've seen a car from I beleive outside the US on the site that had either a reflector or a second third brake light there. So what's the indent used for in production runs that don't just leave it there?

TIA

I think its a reflector like you said, but instead of making a whole new bumper they just added that piece to save money.

It's the rear foglight. If you're referring to the red light in the middle...

Yeah ... that's what I'm asking about. So there is a light with wiring for this? I have had european vehicels that have had the rear fog light before. So I assume we're talking about an additinal switch on the stalk for the rear fog?

I think rear fogs are mandatory here in Europe.

The foglight is switched on from the same stalk as the front fogs, it just requires one additional 'click'.

Interesting. Can anyone post a pick of that stalk? Just curious.
