UPDATE: Cobb got new firmwire that actually made the tune take forever, normally we would have finished both tunes but the new firmwire made the 93 octane tune take 6 hours!!! No problem though. Calvin, the tuner, made this turbo do some exceptional gains! I'll post the dyno sheet tomorrow once it's up, but here are the results:

322whp/361wtq at 26 psi tapering to 19.1 psi on 93 Octane

Trust me when I say this, it is NOTHING like on a stock RA turbo at its best. I ran Cobb Stage 2 at 260whp/310wtq and the gains feel insane.

You'll also notice I had to remove the Greddy Type S BOV from the list of mods and put the Cobb BOV on. The Greddy BOV was used and barely held 14psi. I guess that's the price you pay when you buy used stuff and people say it only has 5k miles on it and it really isn't

I'll get the pics up sometime tomorrow as well. Oh! And the E85 tune will be done next Thursday. Stay subscribed for results!

UPDATE!!!

E85 Tune was done! There's a saying that goes in Texas, "I won't let anyone but Cobb touch my car". I thought this was an exaggeration, but its not, not one bit. The E85 graph will be up on the site on Monday, but here's the 93 octane graph.

The dip at 4k rpm's is become I'm an idiot. I'm giving you ALL a fair warning. If you buying ANYTHING used, get it checked out, especially the turbo. The turbo I had was having wastegate duty cycle issues and they couldn't get it any smoother than that because of it (the dip). Take your turbo to your nearest turbo specialist or company and have them do a thorough check and take it apart. Usually the check up is FREE and if anything needs to be fixed the changes usually are super cheap ($15-30). Also, Calvin, the tuner, said that dip would only be noticeable if I did a WOT from low mph in 4th gear, which never really happens anyways.

THE E85 TUNE RESULTS.........

375WHP/403WTQ at 26psi

All I can say is holy hell, this is not the same car I bought. I notice a huge difference in 60' time, 0-60mph, hell, 60-100mph feels like record breaking time. Trying to hold a steady 60mph from lightly holding the pedal is impossible, I always find myself accidentally creeping up to 80-90mph.

On to the most commonly asked question: Slippage

I have yet to notice any. I did several WOT's on the highway and from a stop. All this car does is want to push push push, it never wants to go below 6k rpms.

All I can say is the phrase is right, Cobb is freaking #1

I think this is the highest powered Ralliart on Evo X stock turbo???

Just so you guys know Cobb uses a mustang dyno, so the numbers wont be mad high like on a dynojet, but calvin is doing the tune.

There are clearly too few Cobb Maps available for the RA, and I like other AP owners would agree there need to be more. But in truth MAPS for Krisko's car really won't work for many other cars, look at his mod list and you will see why.

IMHO, your best bet to maximize the value of your AP is to invest in a full turbo back exhaust and just run the Stage 2 AP 93 octane tune. I have been pretty happy with the AP Stage 2, your results may vary.

KRISKO, that sounds very cool and will be interesting to see/compare. {thumbup}

With your mods, feeding your car a diet of pure corn should really wake her up. :D

That's funny I spoke to Cobb rep in February and he told me there will be new maps for RA in few months. I was waiting and waiting and waiting ..............and called them back two weeks ago. This time rep told me that Cobb will not have any new maps for RA in the foreseeable future. Than he added. but dont worry Cobb AP can be used for many other things, than just loading maps. LOL !!! I was about make a glucose meter out of it since it looks like one.

Looking sweet, and those numbers are very nice!

Congratulations, hope you are very pleased.{thumbup}

Took it to the track yesterday. Im new to launching at the track and couldnt get a better 60' time than 1.8. Best time was a 8.2 in a 1/8. Apparently im suppose to be getting better times than this.

Good news is I beat these two cocky modded z28 camero (I believe it was) and 5.0 mustang gt. Mustang never ran better than a ..8.85 and the camero ran a constant 8.4.

Im assuming its the turbo lag from it being a bigger turbo that's hurting my 60'? Plus I ran it in sport/auto and I hear sport/manual should get me better times. Maybe an aftermarket licp for better response?

8.2 in the 1/8th is pretty much a 12 sec car. that's pretty good.
that evo 8/9 wing is prob slowing yuo down too ;)

Nice times Krisko. What track did you run at?

You really think so? If anyhing I thought may help? Why would it hurt?

@spider21 I went to kennandale. I was the only import there other than an infiniti that was having tranny issues.

Any weight savings is helpful example: Spare Tire.

Kennadale 1/8 mile is nice. Good to know I will be close to you on your times since my power is similar.
