HELP: Battery relocation

Ok I've been having trouble with my battery relocation and just need help figuring out how to bring the battery cable into the engine bay. I've looked online and it shows that the evo has a hole in the fire wall. I looked on mine and that hole is blocked off :crap:. Can anyone show me or at least tell me how they were able to bring the wire in? As of right now the wire is going from the trunk and running to the drivers side fender.

^that is a fine way to do it. Go from the trunk out to the frame. Please ensure the cable is properly clamped, not exposed (if the car bottoms-out), does not have any sharp metal edges that it lays across.

Check the firewall on the passenger side by the glovebox. I know there are a few wires that are coming in from there. If now, you can always make yourself a nice new one.

Is there any holes on the drivers side I can run it threw?

I know on the Evo there is a Grommet that Mitsu runs wires through, but Im too much of a P**sy to do anything with that. If all else fails run it through the fender like you are, I know a lot of people do that anyway.

Thanks everyone! So I have the battery cable running on the passenger side of the car now, cut the foam padding so I can put my battery flat, and drilled some holes so I can install the battery tie downs.

I just need to know for the negative side of the battery can I just drill another hole and use that as a ground? Or do I need to find a ground that's already there? Any advice on this? That's the last thing I need to do for everything to be complete.

Ok so I found a good ground. It took me most of the day but I found it lol here's how I have my battery set up. It's not the most beautiful thing in the world but it works lol

Question; Were you able to simply move the Ralliart positive terminal assembly onto the Ralliart ECU bracket and if so were all the wires long enough to reach the new location by strut tower? And is this the Evo X Positive terminal assembly shown in the after picture.
Sorry I am just about to tackle the battery relocation project on my own Ralliart and want to do it right and not reinvent the wheel if it's not necessary. Would love to get some detailed feedback and see any additional pics you may not have posted etc... Like cable routing from engine bay to trunk etc..

I have the HMI 18K turbo and will be headed to Kozmic Motorsports next spring to get a bunch of work done including installation of a new ETS Intake which is why the battery needs to go. I have an audio system with multiple amps so small battery is not an option. LOL!

Thanks in advance for any input I can get.
FYI: I am using all the OEM Evo X parts under the hood and running a 2 Gauge positive cable to trunk.

You could drill a new hole and use a bulkhead.
