Yo,

I lurk alot on these forums (almost 2 years I think, made an account when I bought the ralliart) but I hardly ever post.

I've done quite alot to my car, so I thought I should share it with you guys.
I'm copy pasting this straight from my build thread in my local car club forum, the build has been over a year so far.

Let us begin!

I bought this black ***** last year around June, for a good price thanks to working for AHG ;D it only had 26k on the clock when I bought it, poor bastard is looking at 45k now :(
I get it serviced at Tokyo Motorsports every 5k or so, and I will let them have the car for a couple of days to test tune it or what have you, but I haven't had the time to let them do that yet.
At the moment, I've got bc coilovers, an AEM cold air intake, and did all the interior in leather. I've also painted the stock wheels running on Achilles ATR sports (actually ****s all over the stock yoko advan a10's) I plan on getting a turboback exhaust from CP-E in the US and also the intercooler and all piping replaced with ones made by Ultimate Racing in the US. I also plan on getting some work XD9's in matte black on him when I get bored of the painted stockies.

Alright ladies, I've done a bit too the car so I thought I should add to my build thread!
The first real mod I did was obviously the coilovers, I dont have any before and after pics of that unfortunatley, I can tell you before the drop the car looked like a ******* Outlander though!
I fitted a turbosmart re-circulating BOV to replace the leaky stock plastic one.
I then ordered this!

A new filter and airbox! (they call it a CAI but I don't think it is) from AEM.
After that I decided a bit of cosmetic work needs to be done, so I borrowed a heatgun and went nuts at the badges around the car:

These are the crappy CF air vents that I got with the hood, I swapped these and also the washer jets out with the OEM hood ones (muuuuuch better looking) They didnt fit perfectly, but nothing a drill couldnt fix ;D

GReddy 33F Evo 10 intercooler, 4" thick of pure cooling perfection!
These will be fitted once the exhaust comes by none other then Tokyo Motorsports, along with a dyno tune.
hopefully I'll have some photos of the fitting and a snap of the dyno results to show you!
Once thats done, it's stance time.

After 4 weeks, not 2 like they said, I finally got my exhaust!
Thank you to custom performance engineering for a damn quality exhaust!

Alright kids, another chapter to the story of the Ralliart!
Take a seat children...

So I sent ma baby off to TMS to have all my stuff installed and to have it dyno tuned.
The exhaust went on fine, and looks and sound AAAAMAAAAZING! (Dont have any photos of it being fitted though D;)
The intercooler however, was about 2" too thick and we had to cut the hell out of my front bumper bar to get it to fit (damn worth it though)
I did try and find a stock Evo 10 IC to fit, but to no avail!

Then came the tuning... it took 3 days to dyno tune, because my car decided to have a childish fit and wouldnt let Jamie from TMS play around with the fuel maps (or something like that)
But after work through friday, saturday and sunday Jamie cast a magic TMS spell and the car gave in. I'm extremely grateful to Jamie, Brad and Shannon from TMS for putting up with the car ;D haha

I don't see mention of a turbo swap, which makes me think the calibration of that dyno seem a bit "generous" on its readings. Then again, it's actually more about the gain that the number thats spit out at the end.

Yeah I thought it read a bit high too, but they wanted to charge too much for an initial run before all the mods went on etc, so i'm not too sure about the gains.

The dyno is a dynapac hub dyno, and the shop specialises in Evo's so I believe their readings.

And it defiantly keeps up with cars that claim 300whp around my city anyway

yeah, I had my car tuned at RRE they have a Dynapac Dyno there. With a BBX Lite and a conservative tune, I pulled 335HP and 320lbft torque w/ 22PSI of boost at redline (25PSI peak) on a 91oct tune. Of course, locally many people consider their dyno to be a "heart breaker"... so... :P

Did you have to cut the front crash beam to fit that Ic because of the width?

I think because over here in Australia we are offered a higher quality fuel, we seem to be able to pull better numbers as well, but then again, my car is on the brink of slipping the clutch and all that jazz haha.


Yeah the front crash bar has been completey removed, and the harness that runs across the front has been cable tied to the top of the intercooler. I had to weld new brackets to the bottom of the intercooler to get it to fit. I plan to replace with a JDM Evo 10 crash bar.

I would not recommend trying the fit the GReddy 33F intercooler to our cars, the brackets are all wrong, and it was way to thick for the JDM/AUDM crash bar (which is different to the USDM cars, hence why you guys can fit the UR and Buschur 4.5" FMIC's) I assumed it would fit seeming as 99% of Evo X intercoolers fit, but I am glad that I have trialed it for the community, no problems with the performance of the cooler at all :P

Bit of an update,

bought a Blitz piping stopper for some engine bay bling (i'm pretty sure they are discontinued, and it took me ages to find one) I put it on, and after about 2 hours of driving one clamp came loose and the bottom half fell off onto the road somewhere. I have no idea how, both bolts were as tight as possible haha, so now I have 3/4 of a piping stopper ;(

I've already ordered another one from the same place haha
