Recall?

Just got a notice in the mail for another recall. 2012 ralliart, anybody know what it is?

Most likely the ECM reprogramming recall. See attached. Affects EVO X and Ralliart cars.

I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole if your car's ECU has ever been reflashed or your vehicle has been dyno-tuned.

^^ +1 this is what was running through my mind

My ecu is flashed.... So if thats what the issue is don't even bother?

This is supposed to fix false check engine lights (I think), which I think I have gotten.
I have the tactrix cable to tune my car my self. I have the stock map, If I put my stock tune back on can I get this recall work done, then put my tune back or is that pointless ? will my tune overwrite what the recall is fixing ? I just cracked 100k miles so warranty is no issue...

It probably will but maybe not, so feel free to give it a try if you have some time to kill. The only thing you have to lose is a couple hours of your time.

I was going in for an oil change this weekend, looks like I'm doing it myself.

There has always been a flash counter, but apparently this makes it easier for the dealership to log and document flashes.

Perhaps this flash fixes the MUT-III access to the flash counter.

If memory serves, it wasn't directly visible before using the standard Mitsu tools.

Was dead easy to look at using mode23, of course. :)

Hey Rich, I was reading the post on the flash counter, if I understood correctly we can reset the counter?

I'm at the dealership right now for my 6k service, told them not to do the reflash. They told me if I do get any check engines for the issue that I can have it done anytime and I can get any "retuning" done after. They did make a note that I didn't want it done.

Had to have mine done about a week ago. I kept getting a check engine light, and the transmission dropped and sat in second gear until restarted. I was warned at the dealer that if I had any retuning done they would know now right away. I was even questioned about the air inlet duct. Mine was smashed, and I have not replaced it. The dealer wanted to know why I removed it, and questioned voiding the warranty due to it.
