2009 Mitsubishi Ralliart bad deal?
Hello all I’m a potential Buyer of a Mitsubishi Ralliart. It’s a 2009 with the SST sportronic transmission. The car was owned by what seems to be an enthusiast which means it was probably beaten on a little bit but also taken care of by the looks of it. The only thing is it’s at 150k miles which is a bit high with Daily driving with a few backroad runs every couple of days in the summer and some track days in the mix as well will this car hold up? Or is 150k miles just too high? The guy wants $6500 for it is that a good deal? Is there a place you guys go to get either a replacement transmission or transmission work? Let me know guys! If it’s a good deal and reliable enough that I won’t need to rebuild the engine or transmission for atleast 4 years Id be sold on it |
Price seems okay for the miles. Nothing too special.
Biggest issue is always the service interval on the trans fluid. Its expensive to do, so some people skip it. But the fluid should be changed every 20k miles or so. Does the seller have serivce records? Otherwise, replacing the trans is very very expensive and the most likely issue you will run into with those miles. |
