Short burst of vibration while driving. NEED HELP

Hey guys, new to the Ralliart family. just bought a 09 model then later realised it has the short one to two seconds vibrations while cruising and using minimal throttle. The vibration only happens between 30 khp to 70 kph, and there is no vibration when accelerating fast.

Alright, welcome aboard:thumbup: @Aziz Nasery

Im a EvO9 owner but wonder if what youre experiencing is just simple out of wheel balance? Are you getting steering wheel shake at speed?

Aziz Nasery Apr 6, 2019 06:07 AM

There isn't any noticeable or out of the ordinary wheel shake at any speed, just vibrations when keeping at 40 to 70 kmh which seems to be coming from the back of the engine bay where the turbo sits.

How many KM's on the drivetrain? Wonder if a motor mount has let loose?

Raikiri Apr 6, 2019 08:14 AM

You sure you're not driving in too high a gear with the amount of load youre putting on the engine?

Bad wheel bearing.

currently sitting on 95000 km's, only thing the confuses me is that it only happen between certain conditions and speed such as minimal throttle and speeds between 40 to 70

Thats not that many miles. Was thinking that it could be a CV going bad?

If you havent yet, put it up on jacks & pull both front wheels & inspect the axle & CV's. And check your front bearings (as noted by Jason), as well, with the wheels on

I may have misunderstood. Does it "pulse" or is it continuous? Does it stop when you turn the steering wheel either way?

It stops when i let go of the accelerator and during turning no issues.

I realised that if i drive in the 5 gear between 40 to 80 kmph there is no issues. only when in 6th gear and in between 50 to 80 kmph. Any way to fix this ?

Raikiri Apr 11, 2019 11:54 AM

You shouldn’t be in 5th/6th gear at that low a speed {thumbdwn} Sounds like the trans doesn’t know what gear it should be in since you drive in auto. Get a sst fluid flush and a teach-in done and see if that helps
