That 18x9 +38 set will fit, but will require a fair bit of rolling and pulling the rear fenders. That is what you'll want if you are looking for some wheel poke beyond the fender.
The 18x8 +35 requires much less work to make them fit, you will still have to roll the rear fender lips just to prevent rubbing on bumps and whatnot, but they will sit right about flush with the fenders, if not tucked ever so slightly.

I was looking for suggestion in places to buy wheel/tires, besides Tire Rack. Tend to leaning for a place that will finance or something to that regards. As of now I'm looking at getting new rims/tires, but may just do tires for now. Not a fan of discount tire website and not many choices at wheelfire.com

does anyone know if the Enkei RS05rr wheels will fit on our cars without doing anything special to make them fit? every site has them listed as not fitting our car and I don't know why

Looking at buying the Privat Akzent wheels in a 18x8.5 with offset of 40. Will these fit ok without pulling the fenders a little. I will be installing my H&R springs on the 26th and want to pick these wheels up next and run a 225/40/18 tire. Thanks in advance. I checked the first part of this thread and did not see a +40 offset but did see 38, 44, etc....

I replied to your PM too, but I figure I'll post it here, as well, to help anyone else interested.

Thanks for the pm and reply. What about 18x9.5 +34 with 245/40?

Hello, I'm trying to get some 18x8.5 +40 offset wheels (RPF1s in Gold) and I was wondering if they would fit the ralliart? I am on Swift Springs right now.
Now I have no knowledge of what offset is, but from what I can see:
Between +38 and +44 a middle ground of +40 would most likely be usable because there are more and less extreme setups on both ends that seem to work, but I was hoping to get some opinions on the fitment as I'm sure I've overlooked something.
Also from what I can see the Inner Clearance should be at 13mm LESS and Outer Face Position should be 25mm more, but correct me if I'm wrong.
I was just hoping to find out if this setup will work, the fender rolling necessary for it to not rub, and what tires are recommended. I want as little sidewall bending as possible and if possible, to add more surface area to the tread, which looks inevitable if I'm going to go 8.5" wide.
Now I have no knowledge of what offset is, but from what I can see:
Stock Evo X wheels
18x8.5 +38 will = fronts will poke out about 1/4" and rears will be flushed
Inner Clearance: 11mm LESS Outer Face Position: 27mm MORE
Tires:
225/45 18 if lower to prevent rubbing and cutting of the wheel on the fender
235/40 18 and 245/40 18 will rub a little on the fenders with my calculation on bumps, dips, and pot holes and maybe driveways too
***This fitment is AGGRESSIVE so roll the fenders***
18X8.5 +44 will = fronts will be flushed and rears will need a 5mm spacer to be flushed
Inner Clearance: 17mm LESS Outer Face Position: 21mm MORE
Tires:225/40 18 and 235/40 18 no rubbing issues with stock height
when lowering just a simple roll in the back will do just fine with no rubbing...

Most people will do something like 245/40 for tires if they want more contact area and are willing to massage the fenders a little more.
If you are worried about pulling the fenders too much you can use 225/45 but they'll be a bit stretched so if you don't like that look you may want to reconsider your wheel sizing.

They will fit. You will require rear fender rolling as mentioned already. I STRONGLY recommend bringing a mounted wheel/tire with you if you are having them rolled by someone else before install so that you can make sure they give you enough clearance for your specific setup.

235/40 is a commonly used size because it is the stock sizing for the Evo X. It is a good fit and generally a pretty good compromise between making contact with the pavement but still small enough to fit under the fenders/quarter panels. You'll still probably need a good fender roll, but not more than that.

so i picked up some 57xtremes in 18x8.5 +33, they're currently wrapped in 245/40 r18, which are actually stock 2015 STI tires. would i be better off getting 225s? or can i run this set up with just a roll

Greetings,
I need some advice from the wheel gurus. I just purchased a 2015 Lancer and want to put some XXR 530 18x8.75 +33 offset on it.
I perused many forums and don't have much information, but I also want to install air suspension. (I live in mountainous West Virginia, so static isn't an option). I've installed bags on my 3g Eclipse before, so I know wheel/tire fitment is crucial.
Does anyone have a suggestion on tire fitment? 225/40? 235/40?
Of course, normal drive height will be slightly lower than stock, but I also want to slam it at events.
Any help is appreciated!
