With no other vehicle in Mitsubishi's line-up for it to "share" brakes with other than the calipers (I think) that it shares with the Outlanders, it wouldn't be very cost effective to have a sport brake designed specifically for the Ralliart. Thus a BBK is the only option for maximum potential in braking.

The cost for these AMS/Wilwood brakes is a little on the extreme side, especially for brakes that averages a MSRP around $900 for most other applications.

The best route probably be (as mentioned) supporting mods that will maximize braking without BBK calipers. SS braided brake lines, slotted and/or drilled rotors, and performance pads and brake fluid are inexpensive and can offer a decent alternative to BBKs.

I plan on tracking my MS3, hopefully versus other cars within it's class and plan on moderate suspension mods and a Madaspeed Brembo kit, but if that throws it against cars above it's intended class I will go the inexpensive route when it comes to brakes.

Has anyone looked into Brakeman?

http://www.thebrakeman.com/evo_kits

I saw the kit on a sportback, but can't find the site now. I spoke with a guy at Brakeman and he said they fit the stock wheels.

Wow, no action in 6 months on this thread. I am looking for front brake upgrade kits for my 09 Ralliart. I have checked out several kits but prices are way up there. Please post any links to new kits and or vendors now making upgrade parts etc

This is the way to go. If you look at it, it says that the front rotors are 12.5" in diameter. That is much larger than the AMS front upgrade.

Lol. I was going to say something but wasn't sure if you're still going to sell your kit or not.

What is funny is that this thread is MUCH older than either one of my two upgrades. Prowlin PM'ed me earlier about the Brake Man upgrade. That pissed me off to no end, until I realized why he was asking about it.

I will say this: after experimenting with a few Wilwood setups, I have found that the calipers can leak. They use a spacing method to allow for rotors of varying widths that is not as strong or as reliable as a solid, monoblock caliper.

I still have yet to see a Brake Man upgrade, but I love what he has done. That is a very cool looking kit. I just wanted calipers that were meant to be used on a daily driven vehicle, as I figure that that is what the vast majority of Ralliarts are. It just makes sense.
