gsr rims on ralliart

Well my friend bought some advan rz rims for his evo so he decided to give me his rims. I had them on for about 3 days now. No issues so far. 225/40/18. Waiting on RRM springs to come in.

These should be about 3lbs lighter/corner than the stock RA wheels. MR wheels are about 6lbs lighter than stock.

especially the rears the rears will rub with someone in the back or on large bumps. th ey may not rub right now on the fender but with 2-3 people in the back they WILL RUB on the wheel well plastic on stock height.

trust me im running 18x8 +35mm on my gts and with 2 people in the back they rub on minor bumps (real minor)

Since he is running 225s, he might be fine. I barely rub against the sidewall with EVO VIII rims and 235s. For reference, the EVO VIIIs are 8" wide with +38 offset.

"18x8 MSR 045 225 40" i too am running 225's

from experience he will need to ROLL with a DROP. hasnt anyone read AMS ( i think its their post) post about their ralliart when they had evo x rims on it. on a trip they had to stop at a k-mart to buy a bat to roll the fenders in the parking lot because they were rubbing like a **** with 3 people in the back...

im just trying to help, id hate to have someone order springs be all excited about their drop pay to have them installed only to find out that damn need more $ to spend on a roll.

Thanks for all the info about the drop. I figured I would have to roll the fenders with the springs so when that time comes the fenders will get rolled.

That story was about EVO X rims AND tires, which are 245s, not 225s. With a drop, sure, he might have to roll. But for now, he should be fine.

Rolling isn't that expensive, and from my calculations, he might not need to roll at all. No reason spending money he doesn't have to. He can cross that bridge when he gets to it.
