Weird noise from wheel.

Hi,

My car has a feel and a noise of vibration when braking from 100 km/h from my front passanger side wheel. I can clearely hear it and feel it when I brake. Any idea what it could be?

I will be going to the dealership for this but I would like to have a better idea of what it could be??

Thanks and have a good day.

Most probably warped rotors.

Good timing, I was recently wondering how much was a brake job on our cars!

To help prevent warped rotors in the future after a hard/panic stop from hwy speeds - when almost completely stopped - roll forward and if possible put the car in neutral so you can take your foot off the brake (keeps the very hot pad from dwelling in one spot on the rotor).

Whenever you can, try to stop in 'phases' (brakes on/off) so the rotor and pads can cool from the rotating wheel... Versus hitting the brakes until stopped and leaving the brakes on...

Don't tailgate! Number one reason brakes get worn prematurely and it causes more panic stops! Remember the 'two mississippi' following distance rule from driver's ed?
