Fortune Auto 500 Series coilover unboxing
My Fortune Auto 500 Coilovers arrived today!
Sstrevojr's 510 unboxing on post 45
Series 500, roller bearings, 8k front 7k rear.
I ordered them from Jeremy of JBAutosports here on EvoM. He was great to work with and answered all my questions.
Fortune Auto got the Order Aug 15 and shipped out Sep 28 so a 6 week turnaround time (normally 3). The wait was painful but I'm happy to say they finally arrived!
Shipped FedEx and packaged well.
Double Boxed
Tools, sticker, documentation, and installation instructions.
I was suprised to see the RA set come with rear extenders included!
Every Piece was individualy bubble wrapped resting on foam partitions.
Fronts: Matte black base and black springs look better then the green / neon green shown on the website. Welded on brake line bracket.
Rears: Green Base and black springs. Another pleasant suprise was both the front and rear included dust boots.
Nice clean welds
Detailed instructions and maintinance paperwork.
Well thats it for the unboxing. I will try to get these installed ASAP. and take pics for a How-To.

In a nut shell:
If OP is cool with it, I'll post my 510's when they come in (should be end of this week/middle of next)
I got 510's with Swift Springs (9k F 10k R) Thrust Roller Bearings and Street Spec valving (as this is my DD as well as my track toy). Their UDDP pistons have been getting rav reviews. Oh and to clarify the above post, 510's are a mix between track and street; Dreadnoughts are the track monsters.

I just wanted to share my customer service experience with FA, even though my coilovers have not yet arrived.
There was an error/mis-communication (whatever you want to call it) with the vendor (third party, I'm not here to flame). After much anticipation, and 6 weeks of impatience, I received my first set of FA coilovers. Unfortunately they were built for the wrong car....back to the drawing board. FA "could" have washed their hands of the situation and pushed back on the vendor to make it right. There was an issue or two there, and as such I contacted FA's customer service department. FA's customer service stepped up and took care of the whole deal, at no cost to me, and threw in some free parts to make ammends. Additionally they rushed the build time to only 3 weeks to make sure the customer (me) was not overly impacted.
If nothing else, it's very refreshing to see a manufacturer stand behind their product/service, when so many fail to in this industry (HKS, MMNA, etc.). I am THRILLED at the opportunity to test out these 510's on the track, and give my feedback. While the BC BR's have been a good "spirited" driving coilover, they never really stood up to the more aggressive driver inputs of track driving (in their defense the BR's aren't exactly "track" coilovers).

Did you get any upgrades to the coilovers?
Swift Spring Upgrade
Swift Rear Helper Spring Upgrade
FA Rear Help Spring Upgrade
Roller Bearing Upgrade
Rear Adjustment Extenders
Are any worth it?
http://www.fortune-auto.com/fortuned...ughtseries.htm (damn evo only)
EDIT: LOL@ the cardboard box. You most likely paid $25+ for that with all the fancy ink.

Do you also need top hats to lower the noise the coilovers make?
