Sway bars
New 2011 Ralliart owner. Love the car, bit squirrely, but fun to drive. Do you recommend upgrading the sway bars to help the control? I'm fine with the suspension at the moment.
If sways are recommended does this car benefit from a larger rear or front sway or both? Also I know the strut brace is mostly engine bling, any benefit in this car or waste of money? |
26mm front
24mm rear all you need. its my autox setup |
Hey crak are you on stock suspension?
|
i am not. I have these http://www.fortune-auto.com/fortune5...escoilover.htm
|
510s instead of 500s? And do you recommend upgrading the tie rods too?
|
510's are because i track the car 500's are for DD's. Stock tie rod still on my car.
Are you referring to the end links? I did change from stock to aftermarket. |
Yes end links lol had a brain fart, I'm getting ready to do a setup similar to you ill send ya a pm
|
Thanks for the info. I'll do some research, but are their brands that are recommended? What about the bushings?

Whiteline has lots of stuff for ralliarts. bushings?
|
I'll check out Whiteline, Perrin makes good stuff for the Subbies, so wasn't sure.
Yeah bushings, wasn't sure if there is a recommendation on poly bushings, don't want this thing to squeak after a year of driving haha Also upgraded brackets or end links recommended? http://www.avoturboworld.com/index.p...ides&Itemid=55 http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Whit...002-2003%20WRX |
I managed to get this though http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_..._number=KDT909
the rubber in the back for the diff sucks. those bushings come with whitelines sway bars |
I was just wondering how the whitelines are and if anyone has had any issues with squeaking or them breaking down after a few years. Coming from a Subbie, people are using the AVO's. Just curious. Esp interested for people who track their cars, since that's going to cause a lot more stress on the parts. Sways will be coming in the future. Getting a rear on my legacy soon, that's first.
|
One more question. Could I change these out myself with a floor jack? Yeah yeah I know I know...
|
When my rear sway bar was changed, buddy had to lower the rear differential I believe in order to get to the sway bar. In any case there is a major piece blocking the sway bar from just being swapped once it's detached. I strongly recommend against doing it yourself with a floor jack.
