when I do my X turbo swap I will be starting with all OEM (except GST Pill), and then adding bolt-ons. I have all the parts, just waiting on a custom bracket to be made - so hopefully I'll have it done within the next week or two

will do a detailed write-up when done, so stay tuned

Sounds pretty cool would like to see it when you get it done for sure. Right now mine is laying flat on its side where the original was at. Might be interested in the bracket if you plan on selling them later on...

Required (a complete turbo assembly off an X should include all of this):

1515A183 (1515A198) Turbocharger 2,022.79
1555A476 Exhaust manifold 514.82
MN119784 Exhaust stud x2 (these will not come out of your Ralliart turbo without breaking) 9.73 x2
1515A150 Turbo Outlet pipe 62.20
1515A184 Turbo to manifold gasket 44.10
1555A289 Turbo to 02 housing gasket 40.37
1555A423 O2 housing 171.77
1225a155 Oil feed line 27.22
1225A181 Oil return line 75.97
1310A469 Coolant return pipe 12.10
1310A577 Coolant feed pipe 25.20
MF650114 coolant banjo bolt x2 7.37 x2
MF660065 coolant banjo bolt gasket x4 0.95 x4
1542A042 Inlet elbow 61.08
1515A053 Inlet elbow gasket 10.10
1570B095 Downpipe 304.52 (it would be cheaper just to get an AMS widemouth downpipe instead of stock Evo downpipe and O2 housing)
3078.50 + 27.22 +304.52 total list.
1055.71 + 27.22 + 304.52 without new OEM turbo

Recommended but not required to work:
1555A320 O2 housing bracket 19.08
MD194403 Oil return line gasket 1.53
1515A166 Compressor housing bracket 19.08
MF140264 Compressor housing bracket bolt 2.23
MF140260 Compressor housing bracket bolt 1.30
MR281085 Turbo outlet pipe gasket (same as Ralliart but new ones are recommended) 4.65

47.87 total list.
Found all of these parts on a Mitsu dealership page and it seems like the prices went down a bit. heres the site with the updated price for everything, including the "Recommended" parts, yes even the turbo.

http://www.westloopmitsubishi.com/order-parts/

$2800.77

Just copy and past the part number and search. Additional shipping charges TBD.

Just wanted to know how are you guys connecting the Evo X MAF to the turbo. Are ppl using the Evo X rubber black pipe or the RA one. Or is there some other option? Cheers

Pretty sure people are using the X turbo inlet pipe or an aftermarket variant to connect to the X MAF housing.

Spider21 has the Cobb version hyperlinked in his sig.

I got a one off part made along with a full turbo back zorst, I don't think it is hard for a good fabricator to make something similar?

ok im going to be doing the swap next weekend...but not sure of what to do for an intake.....I was thinking a filter connected just after the MAF??? Kinda like the UR style...but cheaper to do obviously since its just a filter..that way I wont have to remove the battery either..has anyone else tried this?

Suggestions for tuner shops

Ok, so I live in the East Bay of California and I've made calls to two tuner shops that "may" do my Evo X turbo swap. One doesn't really instill confidence in me (FFTEC Motorsports) while the other hasn't returned any of my inquiries (GST Motorsports). I found them both as authorized dealers on the AMS Performance website. Can anyone make any references for respectable, experienced tuner shops that will do an Evo X turbo swap into an RA, without drama or BS? Preferably within 25-30 miles of the East Bay area. Thanks guys.

I am getting all of my parts together to do the swap, and I have everything on the list. I am currently using the Evo X MAF housing with a cone filter for my intake. Am I going to have to order another piece in order to attach the MAF housing to the turbo?
