Knock Levels

Hey, first let me say I'm really just getting into the tuning thing so go easy if I'm totally off target with this post.
Anyway, I just got my GST boost pill in and I flashed my 2010 Ralliart with the GST basemap from this forum. After flashing I went to do a couple of 3rd gear RPM sweeps with EvoScan running. In EvoScan I'm noticing that there is quite a bit of Knock Sum. Are these levels safe or is this something going on with my boost pill install or the flash?
Here is a graph of Knock Sum and Load. If you need some more info let me know and I'll do some more logging.

I loaded the GST basemap and boost pill in my car last Fall, and was running it like that for a while, and I actually did have a few problems with it bucking/jerking sometimes when I'd floor it in 3rd gear. When I finally went in to get my car custom dyno-tuned, I came into the tuning shop with the GST basemap and boost pill still installed on my car, so that the tuner would have a better baseline off of which to do the custom tuning. However, after he did the initial dyno-run, one of the very first things he said to me was that the car was recording a large amount of knock. So, my feeling here is that your findings are correct. Thankfully, my tuner was able to get rid of the problem fairly easily, and the car was tuned perfectly and he had it running great after less than one hour of tuning time.

Thanks, I'm going to take out the pill tomorrow and re-log, see if the knock goes down.
By the way, is this the pill you used?

Yes, that's the boost pill I bought, but my understanding is they're all the same no matter if you get them from GST, AMS, etc. By the way, if you take out the pill, don't forget that you will need to the re-flash your ECU to the GST basemap that was created for the factory boost pill, since the GST basemap for use with the upgraded boost pill has different tuning parameters.

Looks like you are using the wrong evoscan ID's for 2010 as the knock sensor pegs at 36 counts and that looks like 250+ even at low load cruise, and I highly doubt you are hitting 2000 load.

For 2010:

Knock: 23808A63

Load: 23808784

The base maps should log no abnormal levels of knock if the car is 100% stock and running at 100% as I have tested every one now on my own personal Sportback, even on just 91 oct.

Ah thanks, this is probably why I was having some issues getting other stats to log. Do you know where I can find the request id's for everything else? I'm logging the settings you posted in the GST basemap thread
