You can see in the service manual how they connect to the TCU. It's pretty straight forward.

I guess that the hope is that the plug is the same as other Mitsubishi transmissions. I left a message earlier, so I should be hearing back anytime now.

No, it's not even close. The mitsubishi auto trans before the SST used a TCU that was not integrated into the transmission and looked just like any other ECU, and was inside the cabin.

I figured that that was the case. That is how "normal" TCU's look. All I can do at this point is talk to this guy when he calls back.

My guess is that SSP has already spoken to a vast array of transmission experts, too. I don't expect this Hail Mary to be the ultimate fix. At this point, I am just gathering as much information as possible.

More info I located:
http://www.conti-online.com/generato...n,tabNr=1.html

Getrag TCM Engineer:

Continental routed me to this ECU/TCU hardware/software provider (ODX-Solutions aka Vector):
http://www.vector.com/portal/medien/...Article_EN.pdf

I'm now interested in researching these Getrag units too. Nothing bugs me more than when I can't locate information on something.

If that is the case, then we are in business. Big thumbs up to omegis!

I will call BG again tomorrow. The Continental article referenced a "CANdito" servicing device that can read ROM flash files. If BG is familiar with such a device, which they very well might be, then we are in business.

I could go for some S-Sport and LC right about now.

That looks like development tools, and very expensive.
