Ralliart AFR and Tuning Questions

Does anyone happen to know where I can find Merlins guide, as well as any other good meterial on tuning the car? I searched, but got useless results.

Also, anyone know what a safe AFR is at WOT in the RA? I installed my AEM intake this weekend and while I used to be around a 10.2 at WOT I'm not at a 12.1...

I've tuned my RA fuelling based on Merlin's guide - and direct input from loads of the helpful people here on EvoM. Invaluable stuff. I'm currently tuned for mid-to-low 11s at WOT, with a tiny bit of "lean spool" action in there to richen up when playing around on track.

I realise I "could" go leaner. One day I probably will retune it, when I'm more experienced. But 12.1:1 at WOT sounds leaner than anything that was recommended to me as being a good idea.

Yeah, I was thinking 12.1 seems too lean.. hence the reason I'm keeping out of it til I can do something about it.

Thanks for the PM by the way.

I think 11.5 @ WOT is what most should aim for. Some tuners like to tune for 12, but with weather changes and how little more power you make at the reliability loss, doesn't seem worth it

anything over 12 isn't very safe imo. I would say 12.5 is starting to step into the danger zone

That was my general understanding, but wasn't sure. I've got a ton of reading to do and then will see if I can richen it up a bit.

12.5:1 AFR is the HIGHWAY to the danger zone!

The further on the edge, the hotter the intensity, you know...

well you'd be surprised how many bad florida tuners aim for 12.3-12.5

how close it is to danger I think is irrelevant; just stay under 12

for reference, stock is around 9.5-10 if I'm not mistaken

Didn't realize stock was THAT rich. Gonna be doing some logging tonight.

Look at your fuel tables. When you see values in the 8's you know it's ATLEAST in the 9's

Yeah I got some logs tonight. Definately be very careful. This intake leans the car out a lot.
