I just found a great deal. $517 tax and shipping incl. for the Magnaflow.

There was a group buy coupon deal on the clubmitsubishiquebec.com forum that I used.

I got it from exhaustsystemsdirect.com coupon code: kijiji20%OFF

As you can see from the list of things I've done, it's not a budget issue. I just didn't feel spending $1000+ on a cat-back was necessary. I was looking for a nice sound bonus for not too much. I managed to get a pretty good deal so I'll hopefully be installing that this week-end!!

I'm certain the Magnaflow IS Stainless Steel, as that is how it is advertised. They cannot flat out lie about the materials that they use like that.

I also have the Magnaflow dual exit exhaust (part# 15597) on my car. It's been on there for over a year, and it's not rusting. It HAS changed colors from the heat of the exhaust, but it is not rusting. Even after driving through some heavy rains in FL and TX and a numerous of canyon runs with slush (and whatever California throws on icy roads in the winter) still on the roads, it's not rusting (not enough to notice anyway).

Also, despite common belief, stainless steel can and does rust.

I'm just concerned with weld quality/pipe gauge (has to survive winter here in Canada, eh). Also, if the fitment is correct.
