Red face help a noob out with standalone logging

Hey guys,

I have tried it a couple of times and seems like i'm missing a small part of the equation because its not logging

I have named the file as logcfg.txt

I have downloaded the file from
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/09...iles-here.html

it seems like the ID for the cruise control trigger is not correct from the 2009 US file so i completely removed it to log upon starting my car

but nothing is logging for some reason...

so i decided to ask you guys the basic questions...

1) The name has to be logcfg.txt right?
2) I just have to drag the .txt to the MicroSD card right? If not, enlight me on what is the root of the microSD...
3) The logcfg.text starts off with the following right? or does that have to be removed?

;----------------mrmacan evox----------------
; log channel settings
type=mrmacan

;-------------options----------------

zerosampletime = 1
fillmissingsamples = 0

Let me know if i'm missing something here... Thanks a lot in advance guys

check to make sure it is making a logcfg.out file. If it is, look at it to see what it says. If there are errors you will see it. Also look at the flashing lights on the tactrix, not sure off top of head but they flash different colours when it is writing to the sd card... I think it is blue. Also, you need mode 23 enabled on your rom, not sure if you are stock or not, but if stock it will not log.

Yes, there is a logcfg.out but it has 0 bytes, so i didnt even bother looking into it.

I'm using the GST Map with boost pill, and i'm able to log with my laptop... Does that mean I can do standalone log as well?

Thanks for the info

Post your logcfg.txt file....but sounds like it is the problem since you can log in evoscan and logcfg.out is 0 bytes,means nothing is writing to it.

Try this one. I got rid of the options and added a debug thing. Also on your logentryseconds you were missing a letter on the paramname, so maybe that is your issue. Also you will need to learn not to log everything once you get it set up, the more you log the less samples it will take per second. Rename this file and try it out. You just need to plug in tactrix and turn on the ignition and the logcfg.out file should be made. Hope it works for you.
