periodic maintenance light

when I turn on the car, my info display flashes the message "periodic maintenance" with the picture of a wrench. the manual says it has to be reset at a mitsubishi dealership, but the closest one is a mile away. can someone just tell me how to reset it please? I used to do it myself on my Honda so I wasn't sure if this is something I could do myself. thanks!

Wait, wait...I know I didn't read this right:
the manual says it has to be reset at a mitsubishi dealership, but the closest one is a mile away
But yes you can do it yourself, its in the owners manual.

Holy shi....

Anyway, I'm not sure about the 2010's but in the 09's, the procedure is definitely not in the manual on resetting the wrench.

Turn your car off, keep tapping the button till u see the wrench, then press and hold until the wrench blinks and it beeps, tap the button again and it'll reset to the next service interval.
