MMCS N-01 in 2010 works but makes no sound

MMCS N-01 in 2010 works but makes no sound
I installed an N-01 MMCS into my non-Rockford 2010 Ralliart. The MMCS plugs in with no issues and even turns on and does all of its functions but will not produce any sounds at all. Harness looks good. I'm going from an aftermarket kenwood unit to this MMCS. Is there something simple and easy that I'm missing? If not I'm worried that it has a bad transistor or capacitor inside of the unit or something like that.
