Aftermarket Antenna Adapter?

Just wanting to see if we need an antenna adaptor for an aftermarket head unit in the car. For instance in my old Subaru the antenna plugged into the back of the head unit but didn't actually work. Any help would be appreciated.

My Kenwood head unit works fine with the stock antenna.

Yeah it's a standard Motorola antenna cable end. You won't need an adapter at all.
