HOW TO: Remove Stock BOV for EVO X BOV

You need needle-nose pliers and a phillips screwdriver.

1. Unscrew the clamps
2. Use needle-nose pliers to remove clamp on vacuum hose.
3. Place new BOV and tighten everything back up

quick mod, nice sound too after :). you'll have to twist the orientation of the evo x bov so there is no kink in the vacuum hose.

it will still point that way, but at an angle so the vacuum hose has less stress. theres freedom of rotation in the tube connecting to the bottom of the bov.

Mine is slightly curved but not interfering air flow.

It holds boost alot better. I don't think it boosts peak hp, but it does increase area under the curve.

bafhoops89 Jan 31, 2011 04:58 PM

if the evo x bov make u hold boost better will it make u over boost and should i install it with a boost gauge or i dnt neeed to ill be fine
