Ralliart Revitalization - my sportback build up
Thought it was time to post up a thread of the ralliart build up and will update when the next stages are completed
well, it started with a brand new stock sportback which i knew was a little on the lacking side, but have allocated some coin to addressing those issues the main reason for me for getting the ralliart over an evo x, was the sportback and the sst - needed a ride for the new puppy and also a car that the missus could drive as well, so after an extensive search, the ralliart was the one
stage 1 - volk ce28n 18x9.5 +28, racing logic coilvers and flaring the wheel arches
first thing was the pure pizza cutter spec offset fail and the boat like handling, so straight from the dealer to wheelworx to get everything to fit - a bit of love was required, ok lots - if you plan on fitting rims with a similar spec, be prepared to have your rears worked over pretty hard - twas about 12-15mm of flaring and you'll need to take it to a body shop after to smooth out the warps and get it re-painted. the fronts had a slight roll. if i had my time again, i may have gone for 9 +36 for the ease of installation, but it was an offer i couldn't refuse on the rims and the end result was even better that i could have ever imagined - the final look / stance was worth all the hassles!!
well, here are some pics of the build
the rims straight after the work by extensive wheel services - they were originally bronze, but loved the time attack look, so got them re-painted (with a clear coat over the top)
once installed, they did stick out like dogs *****!
showing the tough road ahead!
racing logic vs stock
installed (almost - waiting on the sway bar bracket to arrive)
all installed, flared and raring to go!!
stage 2 (power up) and 3 (big brake kit) have been ordered and will be installed in several weeks time - stay tuned!!

yep! the rears needed the most work - flared about 12-15mm and the fronts just a slight roll. bearing in mind, I'm running a fair bit of -ve camber about 2 deg and am using streched tyres 235 40. if you are keen on running this spec, allow a bit for bodyshop work to the rears
