It wasn't on my list of wants, I was actually going to buy a stripped and gutted Evo but after some insurance research (this only raised my annual insurance $300 from my 06 Tiburon with 100k) and some research on what the gains are per $ spent the Ralliart started to look more and more attractive. When the only one they had available was this one with the completely pimped out interior my impatience took hold, not to mention a desire to finally have leather and heated seats, and I decided to split the difference in cost and get the extra packages and the blue.
Originally I wanted white or black but would have settled for red, but the more I looked at the blue the more I felt like I'd blend in with the normal boston area traffic and the idea of being a total sleeper started sounding more and more appealing. The only frustrating thing about it is people loved the Tibby with it's weak horsepower and disgusting torque steer and sloppy suspension, where as this they're like, oh... it's nice... congrats... (while they're thinking oh, he got an econobox sedan?) But I'll swallow that little bit of pride for the joy of utterly devistating the kid in the GTI when he's being stupid on the highway, or even better, one of our nasty windy country roads!
I actually ran into a WRX on one today and had a bit of rally racing fun!. The nice thing about that kind of driving is you can do 70 down a twisty windy old country road and still keep it below 4k RPMs!
