So here is the custom cat back exhaust i designed by buying a borla xr-1 muffler and 2 dual tips. Then had a exhaust shop do the welding and bending. It came out better than i expected and sounds amazing!!!!!!!

1 mini muffler on the midpipe, that thing must be loud. Dual tips looks good.

Ya it is a bit loud but that's what I was going after but it is literally the best sounding exhaust I have heard and everyone that's heard it agrees.

sound clip please?

JP3NS May 28, 2012 05:30 PM

Hopefully tomorrow i could try and capture the sound on my cam but i dont think it will do justice.

Mind giving a price for around what that came out to be? Congrats on your new exhaust.

JP3NS May 29, 2012 12:08 AM

Thanks. I got the parts from amazon and they cost me about $230 and the piping cost me another $200. So totaled to $430! Which is awesome since I wanted quad tip with a borla style catback and this was the only way to do so without being raped for $800+

did you cut and weld yourself?

JP3NS May 30, 2012 08:48 AM

I did not. I had a exhaust shop in queens do the welding

Chaz17 May 30, 2012 10:36 AM

Do you mind I I ask how much this cost you in total? Parts and labor

how much did the shop charge you for the work on top of that?

JP3NS May 30, 2012 04:09 PM

It was $230 for the muffler and tips and $200 for the shop to take off the stock exhaust, measure, bend, and weld. So it cost me a grand total of $430.
