1st Dyno attempt ever for me.

Drove out to Buschur's today to put on some much need miles and to see what the dyno is all about. First my car was rather messed up from all the recent changes: 2.1, JUN cams, stock turbo back on, and a bunch of other odds and ends. Car didn't idle for ****, Tilton carbon clutch is 14#'s lighter than my old Exedy and no idle control on the Accufab didn't help, right away Dave got the car to idle under all conditions and cleaned up the choppy fuel and ignition curves. After all that the car put down 374hp and 333 ft #'s(VP C-16), this is the highest recorded for a stock turbo on his dyno but the torque was off due to a few issues I will not discuss and will have fixed in the next few days. I will head back next week for another attempt, hope for 400hp and a big bump in torque. The drive home was a blast, 21psi on 94 pump pulls like a ***** on this car. I guess all these years tuning at the track was probably a mistake, the dyno taught me alot about how much extra power is left on the table. Thanks Dave for an educational and fun day at the dyno.

Wow interesting cars you have there Mr. Brown. How do like the 2.1 liter and is it holding up to high revs?

Never really knew who Slowboy racing was. They seem to make some interesting parts. I like their short block options.

Im going to try not to rev it past 10,000 on the 35r With the stock turbo I only shift at 7500 but go though the traps well over 8000. The 2.1 revs real nice, once I get things sorted out im sure the power will be there.

that dyno figure is from Buschur's Mustang dyno. It reads pretty low.
