Thank you!

Side note: I've had several PMs concerning stock on these. We got even more in today so we have plenty in stock in all finishes

Wow you guys are fiends, we're almost out again! Another large batch will be completed Monday so there will be no interruption in stock in all colors. We truly appreciate your business! Everyone that's installing their LICP this weekend have fun and enjoy the gains

Another aside: I will be starting a special on ALL HorsepowerFreaks branded Evo parts early next week to include our upper and lower intercooler pipes, mini battery kits w/ Odyssey battery, 3" MAF or no MAF intakes w/ K+N filters and 3.5" turbo-back exhausts.

A bit of cool news: I just placed the order with Garrett for the turbo to build the HorsepowerFreaks Evo turbo kit. Each manifold will be equal length tubular stainless steel and as with all of our other parts, handmade here in the northwest. It will include a Tial 44mm wastegate, 4" intake, all other top quality goodies for installation and a turbo outlet that will mate to our 3.5" turbo-back system to complete the package. It will be priced very competitively. Everything in our lineup will also be completely modular so you are never upgrading upgrades and wasting money if you can't do everything at once. Keep an eye on this section for updates!

LICP Install & Review

I would like to thank HorsepowerFreaks for getting my LICP to me in time for the weekend to install. The fit, finish, and quality of this 2.5 pipe is pretty damn good. The free shipping just sweetens the deal even more. The install went straight forward without a hitch. The car revs through the the RPM range a little smoother, especially from 5,000 to 7,500. I believe this LICP will compliment any further mods in the future. Next week I hope to have my ported 10.5 hotside, ported exhaust manifold, and O2 housing installed in time to dyno on the 13th. It should be fun. I took some pictures of the install so everyone could see how well the pipe fits. Joe

A couple of the locals checking out the pipe.

Absolutely. I can't wait to see what kind of power the complete package will make on big boost

It is designed to fit perfectly with the HorsepowerFreaks intake and has not been fitted with the stock airbox. Because our UICP takes the shortest route under the intake rather than around the stock battery and over it, I seriously doubt that our UICP will clear the factory bracketry associated with the airbox.

Sweet, because I went to track friday and began tuning my evo, got it trapping 114.69 by rolling out and its definitely not going to be fast enough for me. I got some more improves to make with the map and should end up in the 119ish range but I am going to want more

Of course! I'm already well used to my power level and am definitely ready to run a big Garrett I'll keep you posted.

We went out of stock on the black lower pipes yesterday but had another big batch finished through powdercoating last night that are now dry and ready to ship today. All new orders placed today before 3PM PST will ship today. Thanks guys!

I thought this pipe would go straight to the intercooler, why does it leave that stock hose there??

A few reasons: The stock coupler on the intercooler inlet is 2.5" so it is not a restriction to flow or performance. Adding another bend or a 45 degree coupler in the kit would increase end price to our customers and provide no performance gain as well as impair compatibility with aftermarket intercoolers. Lastly we do include a 2.5" straight coupler with LICP kits intended for use with aftermarket intercooolers as on ours and nearly every other aftermarket unit available the inlet is parallel to the ground rather than on a downward angle as it is on the factory unit. The package we offer is the best balance of performance, aesthetics, price and flexibility to make sure our customers are getting the best value possible.

Thanks for the explanation Tom, that makes sense. I have some Silicon elbows for the intercooler that came with my perrin boost tube that I hope will work out for me. Anyways, I am so mad right now I just got home from work and Fedex came at 2:30, I hate fed ex so much!!! No offense to you guys for using them, but UPS always leaves my packages, I even signed a note to leave the package with a printout of the tracking number and I had called fedex prior to today telling them to deliver it after 6:00 PM. Its not like I live in a bad neighborhood and Have had 100's of pacakges left never with a problem. Now I am going to have to wait until Saturday to drive an hour out of my way just to get it. It better be worth it, which after what I have read, I am sure it will be. Sorry, I just had to vent. I still don't feel better though!

Let us know if they're still giving you trouble and I'll be happy to handle it

We just got another batch finished yesterday afternoon so stock is replenished for all new orders in any finish to ship today. All I've heard are good things back so I hope the rest of you guys that I haven't spoken with post-install are happy with their purchase Thanks to everyone for your business!

Tom,

I went and picked up my LICP at the fedex terminal today, sped home, let my car cool down for a bit, and installed it. I would have to say that removing the undertray and getting the 2 bolts off the stock LICP brackets was the hardest part. I tried removing my bumper but it wouldn't come off, I thought I had all the bolts and fastners, but I didn't want to break it. I ended up doing it with the bumper on. It seems that my new LICP hangs kinda low. I tried rotating it and all kinds of stuff to get it to fit right, I had a hard time getting all the couplers on it enough to get the clamps tight enough. It's like Iwould get 3 of them on good, but then the 4th didnt seem like there was enough pipe left to push it in all the way, if that makes any sense. I think I finally got it where hopefully it won't pop off and cranked them all down with my socket until my hands hurt. Anyways, I took it for a test drive and noticed the difference right away. The boost definitely came on sooner and stronger, in fact I had to turn my MBC down a little bit. Overall This was a great mod for the money. Thanks again Tom for being a great salesman, and offering this great part for a reasonable price.
