Don't even bother and just sell it. Get it flashed instead.

Yes you can make them work, but there isn't a harness for the 9's yet, like there is for the 8's. As rnm said its not worth it, just get the car flashed. You will make more power with a flash, and unless you have a wideband you will be guessing on setting the safc.

Sell it and get flashed. There is no 9 ECU harness, and the SAFC cant manipulate the mivec.

We have been using the S-AFC's on the 9's very successfully. I have done about 10 of them now. I think we are one fo the few shops that has the wiring diagram for hte 9 to do it.

To be honest I was going to to go to RNR but the propaganda here is so strong that it made me reconsider doing a flash. Seems like any post that asks about safc only somehow turns into sell/junk it and go bushur dynoflash ftw 1000x save money etc.

I still might do safc (when I'm ready to mod) only because I can get one for 100 bucks and RnR is a few miles from my house and don't trust a data base of maps to suit "my cars reactions" via mail-in. I know they are on the safe side but still....

Notice no one said Buschur or Dynoflash....just GET FLASHED. $100 for an safc with no harness spliced directly into your ecu wires plus paying for tuning to make less hp, much less torque while having no ability to adjust the mivec, or $199 for a flash to get way more. Even if you do Vishnu, TT, AMS, etc, it doesnt matter - way better.

S-AFC is a great mod on the 9's. It works great and makes the power it is suppost to.

And so do my sponsors' rivals...

I hve much experience tunung 8s where it made less of a difference, but on the 9, I'd never let someone waste their money and hack their wires to make less power.

Feel free to show us dynographs and timeslips. It probably does make the power it's supposed to, because not much is expected.

Another option is downloading ECUFlash and getting the cable - $89. Much more control than an SAFC and no splicing involved.

As I said, I would not dare to hack someone's ecu wires just to find out what has already been shown, nor would I let someone make that mistake if I were a vendor. I'd have them pay for an ECUflash...
