i already have the boost, oil temp and battery volt meters stock in the MR. i was wonder which other 3 gauges are good things to have and monitor at all times. i want to get the 3 gauge mounting pod on the left side pillar i guess ud call it and i need to fill it with 3 accurate gauges, i dont know who makes the best most accurate gauges which is why im asking you guys . im thinking A/F gauge, and im not sure what other 2 would be good ones to have. i want to be able to monitor whats going on with the car at all times to make sure its always running at its peak with no issues.

thanks guys
I got the same stock gauges in my 8, but I got the zeitronix from TTP is very accurate, price and install I could'nt be happier

If you want accurate boost, you're going to need a gauge that reads off a MAP sensor like the XD-16 by Innovate or the AEM.

The Zeltronix is a very accurate A/F wideband, and also has options to show boost with an additional high grade sensor.

I wouldn't say the boost gauge is inaccurate, infact it is known to be more accurate than some of the Defi series boost gauges. Personally, I think the more gauges you have the better as they are all telling you important things about your car. If I had to rank in addition to what the gauge kit gives you, I would go in the following order:

1. EGT
2. AFR (wideband)
3. Oil pressure
4. Fuel pressure

I run the Defi BF series on my 8. Couldn't be more happy. I almost refuse to go with any other brand now because they are extremely accurate, and the way Defi designed them for installation is ingenius.

Or like the kavlico medical grade pressure transducer to 35.5psi precision accuracy. You will be amazed how far off mechanical (autometer type gauges) are.

This is the MAP sensor ZEITRONIX uses, just like the $1650 standalone AEM.

i went with the omori oil temp, oil pressure, egt, and boost. accurate and it's color changeable. don't recommend the boost guage to anyone boosting over 26psi though.

Absolute pressure minus 1 atmosphere = 35.5psi +/-.

How are Autometers cheap *** gauges? Most racing teams in the US use them and they are quite accurate if not exact.

Defi are good gauges....all those electronic gauges those dont seem to be as accurate as the mechanical ones. the Defi BF series is alright, but it looks damn good with our cluster. I have worked with many sets of Defi BF series and a couple Autometer Nexus gauges and they havent been as accurate as i would have thought. I had my laptop reading my AEM and some of the parameters were different then what the gauges were reading. personally i would rather trust the AEM EMS then a gauge. It could have been that I hooked it up wrong or that it was a bad gauge, but it wasnt just one set of gauges.

If you are going to get a standalone engine management system, then I would go with the AEM EMS, and get the AEM gauges that read from that ECU. I think that would be the best/most accurate setup. i also prefer Autometer over Defi, because of the tests i have run a few cars from hondas, toyotas bmws, and evos. thats just my 0.02

Autometer boost gauges consistantly read 2-3psi too high and many times they do not even rest at zero.
