I went down to Atco Raceway today to see if I could beat my previous best of 11.56@116.8. The only changes this time around was a crushed BOV, some small wastegate adjustments, and a C16 race gas Dynoflash tune done at The Shop's brand spankin new Dyno Dynamics AWD Dyno in Norwalk, CT. For those who don't know, "The Shop" works on imports mostly, specializing in Evos, STIs, S4s, and more. They did my clutch for me at an amazing price and I've since gone back for other work.
On my first pass out with the new tune, I spun a bit out of the hole yet still ran a new best of 11.28@120! Wow, 120 traps with the stock turbo! I couldn't believe it!
On my next pass, I decided to let the air in the tires down to 15psi and tried heating them up more after running through the water. The result? 11.22@120 with a 1.55 60ft! So close to an 11.1x!
I wanted to try a few other things out and make some more runs, but I was promptly kicked out for not having a cage. I guess you could say that was a bittersweet feeling.
I'm extremely happy with my new best times considering I'm still running a 100% stock Evo 8 turbo and a bone stock bottom end, bone stock cylinder head (except for HKS cams), stock ignition, stock MAF, etc, etc.
I plan on doing a few new mods and seeing if I can get into the 10's with the stock turbo and stock motor (save for the cams). Curt Brown, here I come!!!
For those wondering, the car weighs 3020 with me in it and 1/4 tank of gas. Today I was running a C16/93 octane mix.

Man - this is great
Amazing driving and dedication to this hobby on your part - mad props!
This is a great example of base tune vs custom tune
It also shows once again - when it comes to reflash tunes Dyno Flash contines to lead in the area of proven performance on the dyno and track
A lot of newbie tuners TALK the TALK but few deliver the goods time and time again - and with a virtual bullet proof record of stock like relliability
I don't blow smoke up your *** - I give you a super fast car that smokes the tires down the track and smokes the competition
PS - I recall seeing some BUSCHUR RACING parts on that whip !

Tough to say, but my best guesstimate would be 3-4 tenths over a bone stock Evo with the spare/jack still in place.
It would be less than that for your typical Evo which already has some of the weight reduction done, such as the mini battery kit or lighter wheels and what have you.
There's still a ton left in this car with the stock turbo.
