EvoScan v0.99 - Zoomable Graphs / RealTime Alarms / Power & Torque Graphing.
i was playing with the powergraphs of the evoscan 0.99.
How accurate are these things?
i ran my three latest logs at around 24psi spikes. This is what i ve got: (runs last to first). All runs made within one hour going up and down the highway with a friend who was holding/using the laptop... All logs in 4th gear starting at around 2200rpm and letting off at around 7200rpm...
3. 415hp - 377 torgue - 4th gear - weight 3250 + 450lbs passengers
2. 405hp - 362 torgue - 4th gear - weight 3250 + 450lbs passengers
1. 447hp - 386 torgue - 4th gear - weight 3250 + 250 driver
If i leave it in auto calculation i get the same numbers but i left it in 4th gear as this was the gear i was logging...
Now the crazy part...
i did the same with my E-town runs...
i left in in auto calc because i couldn't choose gear as i have the full log of the run...
1st run - 12.8@112.8
421hp - 325 torgue
2nd run - 12.49@113.4
496hp - 408 torgue
3rd run - 12.45@114.03
521hp - 407 torgue
4th run - 12.14@114.21
519hp - 417 torgue
Go figure now... LOL

Yeah subaru support is well under way for this, and also USA OBDII IS9141-2 support. And also Boost and EGT support for Zeitronix Zt-2 will be added for the upcoming version v1.0, as well as a number of other goodies, and some other major upgrades to the software.

Just make sure you dial in all your specific car settings i.e. driver weight...car weight w/gas etc. then log a run preferably in third gear from 2500-redline(whatever yours is) and hit auto calculate or choose 3rd gear then calculate it.its actually pretty close
Question: I use open office to view my logs. Now, since I don't log every parameter, there are still colums that aren't used. I then deleted the unused colums to clean up the log. The problem is that now with the deleted colums I can't use the playback or power & torque graph features. I get an error. Is there anything I can do or change to make the logs useable again in evoscan?
what about the SAE dyno corrections?
i left the dyno correction to 1...changing the number to say like 5 or 10 doesn't effect the dyno compution
cons:
-having a prompt telling me auto calculation in order to work must have speed when clearly my gear selection has been selected to 3
-not being to clear the view plot area of whatever chart is already plotted...say i go load file 2...plot area still reflects log file1 plot...no way to clear unless close the window and reload file 2
-not being able to overylay 2 log files and have it plotted on a single plot?
- help menu none of the submenus are activated...like finding answers on how to use the program if i'm a new user, etc
the screen cap of feature #16) OnRoad Dyno Graphing and Logging: acceleration / torque / hp
http://www.limitless.co.nz/EvoScan/
is a plot from DLL's dyno graph and not the actually dyno graph from evoscan very misleading
how i found out was later i installed a trialed ver. of datalog lab and overall DLL visual graphs seems more friendly and accurate in terms of dyno plot and viewing groups of column fields...scaling on the x/y axis seems more precious
evo 8 mods are mbc set @ 22psi on 91oct, walbro FP, DP, stock cat, magnaflow catback, KN dropin filter
DLL: 275hp/279tq
evoscan: 344hp/350tq
talk about a major difference

I did several pulls with the latest release of Evoscan and I got on average, 294hp/275ft/lb torque, does that make sense with my mods on an 03' (k&n air filter, 3" downpipe with electronic cutout dump, boost set to 21psi, and mail-in flash)?

working hard on it
